The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,462.99), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Reed; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot #439 sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 67,310.00 (€ 76,578.13).
