Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Rabinowitch could be acquired at Phillips in New York in 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New York New York auction, the work Four works: (i) Three Constructions Amati Group I; (ii) Three Constructions Amati Group II; (iii) Uper Under: Construction of vision of 2 sizes Imilar group; (iv) Three Constructions Amati Group I changed hands for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,731.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Rabinowitch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (floor sculpture) in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).

In der Auktion New York New York wechselte die Arbeit Four works: (i) Three Constructions Amati Group I; (ii) Three Constructions Amati Group II; (iii) Uper Under: Construction of vision of 2 sizes Imilar group; (iv) Three Constructions Amati Group I für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.731,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Rabinowitch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (floor sculpture) im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75).
