In the From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection auction, the work F (A thing is a thing in a whole which it's not) sold for EUR 24,510.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Ostrowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work F (Gee Vaucher) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 215,054.11).
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Ostrowski erzielte im September 2020 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection wurde die Arbeit F (A thing is a thing in a whole which it's not) für EUR 24.510,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Ostrowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit F (Gee Vaucher) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 215.054,11).
