Auction result fails to reach estimate
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portraits of the couple Elsine Marie Wibroe (1811–1891) and Royal Agent Ivar Christian Wibroe (1801–1881) by David Monies for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 939.07). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 10,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by David Monies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Danish the Picnic in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,469.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portraits of the couple Elsine Marie Wibroe (1811–1891) and Royal Agent Ivar Christian Wibroe (1801–1881) von David Monies für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 939,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Monies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Danish the Picnic im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.469,30).
