Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Two boys trying to steal an appel from an old man by David Monies for DKK 2,600.00 (€ 348.72). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Monies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish the Picnic in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,469.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two boys trying to steal an appel from an old man von David Monies für DKK 2.600,00 (€ 348,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Monies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish the Picnic im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.469,30).
