Auction result fails to reach estimate
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work View from the outskirts of a forest on a sunny day by David Monies for DKK 1,850.00 (€ 248.36). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Monies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish the Picnic in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,469.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View from the outskirts of a forest on a sunny day von David Monies für DKK 1.850,00 (€ 248,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Monies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish the Picnic im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.469,30).
