This artwork by David Monies achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bruun Rasmussen in February this year. In the Paintings and furniture (postponed) auction, the work At an inn in the Deer Garden, north of Copenhagen sold for DKK 4,200.00 (€ 564.12) - well above the estimate of DKK 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Monies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish the Picnic in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,469.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Monies erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings and furniture (postponed) wurde die Arbeit At an inn in the Deer Garden, north of Copenhagen für DKK 4.200,00 (€ 564,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Monies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish the Picnic im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.469,30).
