A top price for David Michael Shannon - as previously expected
The work Untitled (City) by David Michael Shannon was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 15,275.00 (€ 9,023.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (City) is the most expensive artwork by David Michael Shannon that we have observed at auctions so far.
