Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Mach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2016. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Silver Streak sold for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 94,097.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Mach; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Silver Back sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 95,906.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Mach erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Silver Streak für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 94.097,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Mach; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Silver Back im Dezember 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 95.906,21).
