Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Bonhams in New York held the auction Stonewall@50 Photographs Online, which included the work Untitled (Sheriff), From "The Wild West" by David Levinthal. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,863.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Levinthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Stonewall@50 Photographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Sheriff), From "The Wild West" von David Levinthal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.863,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Levinthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
