Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 by David LaChapelle was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,657.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David LaChapelle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Addicted to Diamonds, 1997, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,884.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 von David LaChapelle kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.657,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David LaChapelle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 35.884,60) versteigert wurde.
