Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moat Mountain, New Hampshire by David Johnson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,014.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View From New Windsor, Hudson River in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 584,357.81).
