The work The Incoming Tide, St Ives Bay by David James was auctioned at Christies in New York in July this year. It achieved a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,050.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornish Rollers, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,401.51).

Die Arbeit The Incoming Tide, St Ives Bay von David James kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.050,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Für andere Arbeiten von David James mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cornish Rollers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.401,51) versteigert wurde.
