Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work White horses by David James for GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,601.96). This price was achieved in the auction The Marine Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David James achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cornish Rollers in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,401.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit White horses von David James für GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.601,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David James erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cornish Rollers im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.401,51).
