The work Evening Tide by David James was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,896.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornish Rollers, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,401.51).

Die Arbeit Evening Tide von David James wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.896,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von David James mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cornish Rollers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.401,51) versteigert wurde.
