It achieved a price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,896.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornish Rollers, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,401.51).
