Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Innovators of Photography: A Private East Coast Collection, which included the work The Lone Wolf from the Dad series by David Hilliard. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,830.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Hilliard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dad, 1998, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 7,500.00.
