Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rock Bottom by David Hilliard was sold in the PhotographsSummer Cut auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,533.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Hilliard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dad, 1998, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 7,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rock Bottom von David Hilliard wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.533,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Hilliard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dad, 1998 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 7.500,00 versteigert wurde.
