Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Budd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Milan in July 2021. In the Contemporary Curated Milan auction, the work without title sold for EUR 4,032.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Budd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ocean Park, which sold at auction in December 2016 for EUR 13,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Budd erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated Milan wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 4.032,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Budd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ocean Park beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
