In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work The Boxing Boy by David Bromley. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,511.87), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Bromley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon Tea Boy, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99).

Im August 2003 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Boxing Boy von David Bromley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 7.637,50 (€ 4.511,87) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David Bromley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon Tea Boy beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 10.250,00 (€ 12.093,99) versteigert wurde.
