Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian After Picasso by David Bromley was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 8,400.00 (€ 5,023.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Bromley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon Tea Boy, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian After Picasso von David Bromley wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 8.400,00 (€ 5.023,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von David Bromley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon Tea Boy beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 10.250,00 (€ 12.093,99) versteigert wurde.
