In August 2004 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Studio Nude by David Bromley. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,016.50), 29% above the upper estimate. Other works by David Bromley have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99) in November 2016 for the work Afternoon Tea Boy.
