The work Getting Ready to take on the Day II by David Bromley was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,898.51), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Bromley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon Tea Boy, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99).

Die Arbeit Getting Ready to take on the Day II von David Bromley wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 6.462,50 (€ 3.898,51) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
