This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Barbero; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,287.39).
