This artwork by David Barbero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in May last year. In the American Art auction, the work Winter Sunset, Ortiz Mts. 21 1/8 x 14 1/2 in. (53.7 x 36.8 cm.) sold for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,376.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by David Barbero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,287.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Barbero erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Winter Sunset, Ortiz Mts. 21 1/8 x 14 1/2 in. (53.7 x 36.8 cm.) für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.376,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Barbero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.287,39).
