Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Barbero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. In the American Art auction, the work Fall Scene sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,744.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Barbero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,287.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Barbero erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Fall Scene für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.744,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Barbero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.287,39) versteigert wurde.
