Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Barbero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. In the American Art auction, the work Abyss Grand Canyon sold for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,777.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Barbero; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,287.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Barbero erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Abyss Grand Canyon für USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.777,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Barbero; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pedernal - Two Junipers 20 1/8 x 24 1/4 in. (51.1 x 61.6 cm.) im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.287,39).
