Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Mare and the Path by David Altmejd for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,011.52). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by David Altmejd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Mare and the Path von David Altmejd für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.011,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Altmejd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
