In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work A pensive fisherwoman in the dunes by David Adolph Constant Artz. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,700.00 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Adolph Constant Artz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work First love in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 87,765.00 (€ 42,124.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pensive fisherwoman in the dunes von David Adolph Constant Artz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.700,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Adolph Constant Artz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit First love im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 87.765,00 (€ 42.124,30).
