Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dave McDermott could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work La Femme (Sylvia) changed hands for GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,522.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dave McDermott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Femme" - A Rake's Progress, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,294.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dave McDermott konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit La Femme (Sylvia) für GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.522,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dave McDermott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Femme" - A Rake's Progress beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.294,87) versteigert wurde.
