Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work À rebours by Dave McDermott for USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,457.35). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction at Phillips in 17 - and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dave McDermott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Femme" - A Rake's Progress, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,294.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit À rebours von Dave McDermott für USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.457,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips in 17 - erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dave McDermott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Femme" - A Rake's Progress beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.294,87) versteigert wurde.
