Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dave Heath could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work New York City, Summer changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,333.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dave Heath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Washington Square, New York City, 1958, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,403.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dave Heath konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit New York City, Summer für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.333,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dave Heath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Washington Square, New York City, 1958 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.403,03) versteigert wurde.
