Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Young Boy Rejoicing, 1955-56 by Dave Heath for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,361.12). This price was achieved in the auction The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Dave Heath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washington Square, New York City, 1958 in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,403.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Young Boy Rejoicing, 1955-56 von Dave Heath für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.361,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dave Heath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washington Square, New York City, 1958 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.403,03).
