Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Classic Photographs, which included the work 'Philadelphia' by Dave Heath. The price achieved of USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,409.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dave Heath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Washington Square, New York City, 1958, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,403.03).
