Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Third World Blondes Have More Money) by Daniela Rossell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,004.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniela Rossell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Inge with Mirrors) Third World Blondes Series in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,212.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Third World Blondes Have More Money) von Daniela Rossell im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.004,38) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniela Rossell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Inge with Mirrors) Third World Blondes Series im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.212,42).
