Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Daniel Saint was sold in the Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu and Selected Silver auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 722.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Saint achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Josephine, Empress Of The French (1763-1814), Circa 1805 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33).
