The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,221.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Saint - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Josephine, Empress Of The French (1763-1814), Circa 1805, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33).
