In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A Young Gentleman, Probably From The Poisallole de Nanteuil de La Norville Family, In Blue Coat With Gold Buttons, Cream And Brown Striped Waistcoat, Knotted Cravat (Artist'S Joins) by Daniel Saint. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,801.21), 32% above the upper estimate. Other works by Daniel Saint have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) in December 2018 for the work Portrait Of Josephine, Empress Of The French (1763-1814), Circa 1805.
