Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Bright Day, March (March Morning) by Daniel Garber. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,023.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Garber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work November, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 755,000.00 (€ 581,305.82).
