Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fields In Jersey by Daniel Garber was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,388.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Garber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work November, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 755,000.00 (€ 581,305.82).
