Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work 'Entrance with One White And One Yellow Door, Two Home House, Staten Island, N.Y.' and 'Bedroom with Mirror, Model House, Marin County, California' by Dan Graham. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,150.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Empty Shoji Screen Pergola / Two-Way Mirror Container in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,131.81).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.150,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
