Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Damrong Wong-Uparaj was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,497.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Damrong Wong-Uparaj have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traditional Houses on Stilts, 1962 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 875,625.00 (€ 99,353.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Damrong Wong-Uparaj kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.497,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damrong Wong-Uparaj auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traditional Houses on Stilts, 1962 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.625,00 (€ 99.353,96).
