Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included this untitled work by Damrong Wong-Uparaj. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,006.54). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Damrong Wong-Uparaj - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traditional Houses on Stilts, 1962, which sold at auction in March 2019 for HKD 875,625.00 (€ 99,353.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Damrong Wong-Uparaj zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.006,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Damrong Wong-Uparaj mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traditional Houses on Stilts, 1962 beobachtet, die im März 2019 für HKD 875.625,00 (€ 99.353,96) versteigert wurde.
