Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Proyecto para bolido by Damián Ortega. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,971.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damián Ortega achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auto construcción, caja de velocidades in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 76,994.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proyecto para bolido von Damián Ortega zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.971,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damián Ortega erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auto construcción, caja de velocidades im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 76.994,15).
