In November 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Proyecto para accidente by Damián Ortega. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,268.41), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Damián Ortega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auto construcción, caja de velocidades in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 76,994.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proyecto para accidente von Damián Ortega zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.268,41) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián Ortega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auto construcción, caja de velocidades im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 76.994,15).
