Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Up the Tree, from 'Jane Eyre-The Guardians' by Paula Rego. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,446.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paula Rego achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 3,065,000.00 (€ 3,519,471.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Up the Tree, from 'Jane Eyre-The Guardians' von Paula Rego zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.446,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paula Rego erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.065.000,00 (€ 3.519.471,52).
