Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two Vases of Tulips by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder was sold in the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction at Bonhams in London in September 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,159.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two Vases of Tulips von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.159,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cats And Orchids im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
