In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Footsteps In The Snow by Dale William Nichols. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,321.43), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dale William Nichols have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Farm Scene in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,672.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Footsteps In The Snow von Dale William Nichols zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.321,43) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dale William Nichols auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Farm Scene im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 99.672,19).
