This artwork by Dale William Nichols achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. In the American Art auction, the work Morning sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dale William Nichols; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Farm Scene sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,672.19).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dale William Nichols; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Farm Scene im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 99.672,19).
