This artwork by Dale William Nichols achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. In the American Art auction, the work Spring sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dale William Nichols; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Farm Scene sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,672.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dale William Nichols erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Spring für USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.668,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dale William Nichols; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Farm Scene im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 99.672,19).
