In May 2014 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Amidst the Glaciers by Dale William Nichols. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,325.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dale William Nichols - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Farm Scene, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,672.19).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.325,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
